When you’re running PET blow molding machines, the oven is where the magic happens. That’s why we built these 2000W halogen lamps. With the R7s base and a 12mm tube, they fit right into most industrial setups. No fuss, no modifications. Just pop them in and get back to work. Let’s talk about the heat. Squeezing 2000W into a tiny 12mm quartz tube creates some serious intensity. You need that kind of power to hit the glass transition temperature of your PET preforms fast. It means your ramp-up time is quick, which keeps your cycle times lean. One heads-up, though: these things pull a lot of current. Double-check your wiring and sockets. If they aren’t rated for the load, you’re looking at melted connectors, and nobody wants to deal with that. Built to take a beating. We use high-purity quartz glass for a reason. It can handle the shock of heating up and cooling down rapidly without cracking. Then there’s the R7s tension-clip. It keeps the electrical contact tight so you don’t have to worry about arcing at the terminals. Plus, because they aren’t screw-in bases, swapping them out during maintenance is fast. It saves you a ton of downtime. Why this matters for your bottles. Inside the machine, these lamps put out short-wave infrared radiation. Instead of just scorching the surface, the heat actually sinks into the plastic wall of the preform. The result? The heat spreads evenly. You won’t have to deal with those annoying thin spots or that cloudy “pearlization” in the finished bottle. One last thing. These tubes get incredibly hot. Like, really hot. If your cooling fans quit or something blocks the airflow, the quartz can overheat and burn out way too soon. Keep your ventilation clear. It’s the only way to make these lamps last.
