Why We Built This
We built this halogen heat lamp for one reason: it fits straight into PET blowing machines and gets the job done without drama. It’s the kind of heating element that gives you fast, steady infrared heat—exactly where you need it—so your preforms get the right temperature at the right time.
The Specs That Actually Matter
This lamp is 220V, 1000W—serious heat from a small footprint. The overall length is 348mm, which is cut to match standard heating zones. So when it’s time to swap it in, you don’t have to rework brackets or fight for clearance. That wattage and voltage combination keeps the current predictable, which makes wiring cleaner and helps the control system hold the setpoint without overshooting.
Built to Stay Consistent
Halogen technology does a smart trick: it helps keep the filament stable by putting tungsten back where it belongs. That means less blackening and steady output over time. The quartz envelope is tough enough to handle rapid on/off cycles without cracking under thermal shock. And we chose an R7s base because it makes mounting straightforward and keeps the contact aligned inside the reflector.
What It Feels Like on the Floor
In PET blowing, heat needs to show up fast. This lamp hits operating temperature quickly, so warm-up is shorter and idle time drops. The infrared profile is focused, so preforms heat evenly. That kind of even heating helps keep wall thickness consistent and cuts down on rejects. Now, a heads-up: 1000W is a lot of heat density. That means your reflector and surrounding parts need to be rated for higher temperatures. Make sure your machine’s cooling and insulation are up to the power level.
