Let’s talk about our 220V 1000W Halogen IR Elements
If you’re dealing with high-intensity heat, you know the struggle. You need something that hits hard and hits fast. That’s exactly why we built these lamps. Inside, there’s a tungsten filament tucked into a quartz envelope and filled with a specific halogen gas mix. Why? Because without that gas, the filament evaporates way too quickly. The halogen cycle actually pushes the tungsten back onto the filament instead of letting it gunk up the glass. It keeps the lamp clear and makes it last a lot longer. The power side of things At 1000W and 220V, these things are punchy. We designed them for systems where you can’t afford to wait around for things to warm up. Since these use shortwave radiation, the heat sinks deeper into your materials. It’s fast. Really fast. And that’s a huge win for your PID controllers. Because there’s almost no lag between the power kicking in and the surface heating up, you can keep your tolerances much tighter. Built for the real world We used quartz for the tubing because it doesn’t freak out when the temperature swings wildly. As for the connectors? They’re standard industrial gear. We wanted these to be simple “drop-in” replacements. Whether you’re tinkering with a custom jig in the shop or wiring up a massive production line, they just fit. Where they shine (and where to be careful) You’ll usually see these working hard in PET bottle blowing, shrink wrapping, or paint curing lines. They pack a massive amount of heat into a tiny footprint. But here’s the thing: 1000W in a small tube creates some serious localized heat. If your reflectors get dusty or start drifting out of alignment, you’re asking for trouble. You could warp your housing or burn out the lamp entirely. Also, don’t skimp on the cooling fans. If the air around the sockets gets too hot, it’ll kill the lamp’s lifespan. Keep them cool, and they’ll keep working.
