We built this Far Infrared Halogen heating tube for engineers who need serious heat in a small space. The 400V rating? That was a deliberate call. It’s what industrial setups run on, so you can stretch cables across a plant without losing power to voltage drop. And the 2500W packed into a 300mm length? That gives you a lot of heat, fast. It heats up quickly and responds on a dime. This combo wasn’t chosen by accident. High wattage in a short package means you get a compact thermal footprint, but it also means your control has to keep up. You’re dealing with a brisk thermal load—one that needs a controller steady enough to handle fast changes without overshooting.
Material & Design: Halogen, Quartz, and Connector Choice
Inside, the halogen capsule runs hot on purpose. That keeps the filament stable over time, so the output stays consistent between service intervals. The quartz envelope handles the shock of rapid on/off cycles and sends far infrared energy through cleanly. We also coat the tube to steer the spectrum toward far infrared. That helps materials—especially many polymers—absorb heat better where they respond most. For the connection, we went with an R7s connector. It slips right into common industrial sockets. You wire it, clamp it, and it stays put—even when there’s vibration and thermal expansion working against it.
Application & Benefits: Efficiency, Installation, and Heat Density
On the floor, this tube drops right in where old heaters have given up, especially in machines where space is tight. You’ll see it used in PET blowing, plastic thermoforming, and drying lines that need intense, pinpoint heat. You get quick heat-up and stable control, but there’s a trade-off you should respect: 2500W in 300mm means you need proper cooling and good insulation management.
